THE COMPANY OSCEP

OSCEP – UNIPESSOAL, LDA is a Portuguese company, based in Porto, that belongs to the same managing group of OSDM – O Segredo do Mar – Têxteis e Vestuário Lda.

Over time, OSCEP has been able to adapt and reinvent itself, becoming increasingly an environmentally friendly company. Currently, OSCEP is proud to declare that its activity is differentiated by the raw materials used in its products and by marketing only articles whose composition contains organic or recycled materials.

SUSTAINABILITY

The growth in global consumption of textiles and clothing has also increased the negative impact of the textile industry on society and the environment. In this way, environmental and social responsibility for the products and services is increasingly considered a basic and decisive requirement. In this context, certifications play a key role since they allow companies to disclose and emphasize their compliance with the requirements that guarantee sustainability.

OSCEP – UNIPESSOAL, LDA believes companies play a prominent role in the protection of the environment and is fully aware of the impact of its activity. To that effect, the company is proud of the work and investment spent in obtaining certifications and licenses that prove its commitment to guarantee the continuity of future generations.

ORGANIC COTTON ACCELERATOR (OCA)

Organic Cotton Accelerator (OCA)

OSCEP by Osdm Group is a proud Contributor to the Organic Cotton Accelerator (OCA), the only multi-stakeholder organization fully dedicated to unleashing the potential of organic cotton – from field to fashion.

OCA demonstrates its positive impact through verified project data and compelling farmers’ stories that illustrate the difference growing organic farming has made to farmer livelihoods and farmer communities.

OCA believes that for every dollar invested in organic cotton, there is a multiplier effect: farmers earn more, their families and communities flourish, and their land and soils are fertile for future generations, protecting our planet.
Farmers are stewards of the land; support the farmer, you strengthen the sector and you safeguard the planet – that’s the Organic Cotton Effect.

OCA cotton

OCA acts as a catalyst for change by investing in farm-level programmes which enable farmer education and support, develop new cotton cultivars and facilitate sourcing models linking brands, retailers and suppliers directly to the farm.
These programmes bring additional transparency, integrity, supply security and measurable social and environmental impact to organic cotton. As the global platform for organic cotton, OCA unites the organic cotton sector.
From field to fiber to fashion, we enable measurable improvements to farmers’ livelihoods and local communities.

We OSCEP by Osdm Group proudly partner with the Organic Cotton Accelerator (OCA) to support cotton farmers in the adoption of organic cotton principles. Together, we are supporting the next generation of organic cotton farmers.
OCA is creating the conditions for organic cotton to thrive, helping farmers unlock the multiple benefits of this crop to enable their prosperity and protect the planet.
